Carefree has gained a reputation for its beauty -- the unique rock outcroppings and boulders visible for miles -- its nationally-known residents and visitors and its shopping and recreational amenities including many golf courses in the communities or within just a few miles. The art galleries, cultural events, unique shops and restaurants attest to Carefree's fine reputation.
In Carefree, natural habitat has been integrated into a planned residential community. Open space has been conserved, lot sizes are large but feature "desert friendly" landscaping. Custom homes, fine real estate, blend into the rocks and surrounding mountains.
